THE DEATH OF THE ITCHY NECK TAG: WHY WE SWORE BY ULTRA-SOFT LABELS?

There is nothing worse than buying a premium shirt only to feel a stiff, nylon tag scratching the back of your neck all day. Here is how we fixed it.

We’ve all been there. You buy a beautiful new shirt, you put it on, and within ten minutes, you feel that sharp, irritating prick at the back of your neck. Standard clothing brands use cheap, heat-fused nylon or stiff polyester labels because they are fast and cheap to mass-produce. Most people end up grabbing a pair of scissors, cutting them out, and accidentally ripping the seam of their brand-new shirt in the process.

To us, true luxury isn't just about how a fabric looks from the outside—it’s entirely about how it feels against your skin. A premium garment should require zero modifications the moment you buy it.

That is why at THE HOUSE OF क्लॉच, we completely banned stiff nylon tags. Every single label in our collection is crafted from ultra-soft, micro-woven cotton blends and stitched entirely flat. They flex with the garment, don’t curl up after a wash, and are completely unnoticeable against your skin. It costs more to source and sew these hidden details, but if a shirt isn't 100% comfortable the second you put it on, it doesn't deserve a place in your wardrobe.
