On the flip side, 100% heavy cotton holds its shape beautifully but can feel heavy, stifling, and thick during a humid July afternoon in India.

WHAT LINEN-COTTON ACTUALLY DOES IN INDIAN HEAT?
· 3-4°C cooler than synthetic. Measurable temperature difference on skin surface on some conditions.
· 20% Moisture capacity. Absorbed before the fabric feels wet to the touch.
· UPF15+ UV protection. Natural linen weave blocks UV radiation more than most synthetics.
· 5x faster heat release. Compared to polyester in equivalent heat and humidity conditions.

· BREATHABILITY Linen has a naturally open weave structure. Air moves freely through the fabric in both direction in from outside and out from your body.
· MOISTURE MOVEMENT Linen can absorb up to 20% of its own weight in moisture before it begins to feel wet. This is significantly higher than most synthetic fabrics which is at 2-4%.
· ANTI-BACTERIAL & ANTI-ODOUR Linen has natural properties that resist bacterial growth. Bacteria are what causes sweat odor not the sweat itself.
· UV PROTECTION The natural weave of linen provides UPF 15-20 protection depending on the weave density and color. Darker and denser weave more coverage.
